Listening to .. Rain - Rainism

Gosh.. is it just me or are the weekends getting shorter and shorter >.<

Saturday was my cousin's big day, so I had to wake up early and went to my Uncle's place with my parents and Sarah. My sis and bro-in-law decided to be piggies so Sarah was sort of like their representative.

When we reached my cousin just returned home from fetching his bride and they went through all the ceremony and stuff...

The bride's a Taiwanese and her jie meis actually flew to Singapore specially for her wedding here. So sweet of them~ =)

After the ceremony and group picture taking, we proceeded upstairs to the couple's bedroom and the bride's nephew (think about 2yrs old) was asked to go on their bed to jump, jump jump~ Hehehe. It's a tradition to bless the couple to "zao shen gui zi". The boy was so cute! Jumping so happily like he's having the time of his life. Lols! Girls are not allowed to jump so Sarah could only watch.

Finally everything was over, we had lunch and I went off to Clementi to collect my Rain CD. Bought it through a group buy as the CD was ordered directly from Korea.

It's finally here!

At night, went to Mandarin Oriental for the wedding dinner .

There wasn't much waiting before the dinner started. Bride entered with her Dad (guess that's the Taiwanese style?) while the Groom waited at the stage.

Bride and Groom settled down, the lights went off and it was time for the presentation of our first dish for the night.

I was expecting the usual routine of the waiters just walking in to each individual table with the fanciful music and stuff.. BUT... check out what they did...

My goodness~

Freaking funny lor! My dad was saying they better not drop the plate, wait no food to eat. Lols~ I really pity the waitresses who had to do that short performance. No wonder their faces so black =X

The cold dish

After the 3rd or 4th dish, it was time to welcome the wedding couple again after the Bride changed into her evening gown.

The waitress cleared the table and place this on our table...

Everybody looked at each other with alot of question marks above our heads. We didn't know what it was for.. so we tried to smell it and feel it... End up, I asked the waitress what was that..

"Those are flower petals for you to throw when the couple walk down the aisle"

OHHHHHH!!!!!

Earlier say so mah!

My little cousin seated at the next table had some fun with the flowers. Watch out for him in the bottom left hand corner in the video below:

Bride had that smile on her face coz my cousin mentioned at that point she can be a little high maintanence at times. Haha~ Forgotten why he mentioned that.

The dinner I had that night was the best wedding dinner ever. Every dish was so yummy-licious~ =D Plus! They had my favourite!

Each person were given only 2 man tou but I ate a total of 4 (2 from my Aunt coz she can't finish) =X Cannot resist lah~ SO NICE!

I was so curious about how the dessert will be like when I read the menu.

Chocolate was sweet, Sarah love it so much~ The Sweet Passion cake was pretty sweet too. So to counter the sweetness, the mango that came with it was sour. Perfecto~!

After dinner, Sarah and my cousin Yang Yang had some fun with other. They took some leftover petals and started throwing it at each other. Chasing each other round the table until Sarah did a smart move....

Yang Yang ran round and round the table with a puzzled look on his face. We adults pretended we don't know where Sarah is.. so he continued searching and searching for Sarah until he finally found her. Haha~

Sarah kept refering to Yang Yang as "Kor Kor" but in actual fact, he's her Uncle. Her youngest uncle.. Haha~ My sis told Sarah to call Yang Yang "Jiu Jiu" but Sarah argued with her that he is "Kor Kor" not "Jiu Jiu". The arguement went on for awhile till Sarah finally decided to just call him "Jiu Jiu Kor Kor".
