Christmas 2009

メリークリスマス~!! [Merii Kurisumasu]

Had the best christmas party at work last year. Makes me look forward to this year's party!

3 of my colleagues and boss came back on a Saturday to do up the christmas decors in the office.

Santa's eyes and mouth will start moving and sing christmas songs whenever the door moves. Usually it's set to "Off" mode coz it irritates our Boss. But there were times when we have some itchy fingers around who will switch it on and give Boss a shock when he opens his door. Haha! Anyway it's just a little joke, so he doesn't mind that much as long as we don't overdo it =)

There's a little xmas decor at each of our tables as well -__-" The partitions in our office is in a shade of hot pink, but dunno why it seems look more like red in the picture o.O

On christmas eve, the team leaders and manager went around giving presents to everyone in the morning. I felt so joyful, didn't felt like working at all. Dunno how time passed .. and soon it was time for lunch!

Boss ordered catered buffet. The catering guys came at 10am to set up for our lunch. The buffet line set up was just right behind me.... smell so good..... *droooooll~~~*

After lunch, we proceeded with our gift exchange.

A few weeks before xmas, we were assigned a number each, wrote down our wishlist and slot it in the little house below...

Afterwhich, we had a second draw to pick our recipient's number. It's my first time participating in such a gift exchange activity. Budget set by company was $20 so I thought it would be easiest to just request for $20 John Little voucher =X

Lucky me the recipient I chose also requested for $20 voucher. Lol! Heng ah~~~ We had some weird wishes like "Anything under the sky.." or 7 types of chocs, etc.

Walked down to Centrepoint after work to buy the vouchers only to realise later on that John Little and Marks & Spencer use the same type of voucher as Robinsons -__-" I could have just gone to PS which was much nearer. Silly silly me.

Bought a box and some filling from Daiso to wrap the present in...

I'm not very good with tying ribbons for presents. This was the best I could do =X

My colleague thought that it was nice of me to wrap up the vouchers in this manner. Haha! She can use the box for something else too =)

A florist from our office downstairs is a friend of our boss so she gave the ladies in the company a stalk of pink rose each for xmas.

We were short of containers to hold the roses, so 2 of my colleagues passed their roses to me.

I was telling my boss on that day that flowers tend to die on me very fast, which is why I don't like receiving flowers. True enough, the following monday when I returned to work after the long weekend all 3 roses were withered and bent =( My other colleague's rose continued to bloom prettily. I think I'm cursed.

My secret santa (admin in charge) tracked for us who took what number for our wishlist coz some of us are so forgetful. So she knew the person she picked was me. Hehe. It was so sweet of her to buy me an extra pressie - Ripples flip flops. Correct size too! According to her, she just anyhow guess my shoe size. Lol~ Good guess! I love it so much~ got pink too~ and just nice replace my other Ripples flip flops that broke. Haha!
